Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and Sovarium Limited ("Sovarium", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales, covering your use of Sentry (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2. What the Service does
Sentry connects to your data warehouse with read-only credentials and:
- Profiles the tables you select in order to learn their normal behaviour
- Runs six automated check agents against those tables on a schedule you set
- Produces findings with a severity, a plain-English diagnosis and supporting evidence
- Emails a daily digest and presents the same information in a dashboard
Sentry diagnoses only. It does not write to your warehouse, and it does not attempt to remediate anything it finds. Every corrective action is yours to take.
3. Accounts
3.1 Registration
Accounts are created self-serve. You must provide accurate information and keep it current. Use of the Service requires an active paid subscription to one of the plans published on our pricing page; there is no free plan and no trial period.
3.2 Administrators
Each organisation must have at least one administrator, responsible for member access, warehouse connections, the scan schedule and billing.
3.3 Your responsibility
You are responsible for all activity under your organisation's account, for the security of your login credentials, and for ensuring that the warehouse credentials you supply are read-only and scoped to the data you intend Sentry to see.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation or third-party right
- Attempt unauthorised access to our systems or another organisation's data
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the infrastructure it runs on
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Service
- Connect a warehouse you are not authorised to grant access to
- Share account credentials with people outside your organisation
- Circumvent the table, seat or history limits of your plan
5. Data and privacy
5.1 Your data
You retain all rights to your data. You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5.2 How we process it
- Warehouse access is read-only; the Service never issues a write
- Check agents receive aggregates, schema metadata and a small number of sample offending values — never a bulk extract of your tables
- Warehouse credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, under a key unique to the environment
- Findings and scan history are retained for your plan's window and then deleted automatically
5.3 Data Processing Agreement
A DPA is available on request for customers subject to UK GDPR, GDPR or comparable regimes. Email sentry@sovarium.com.
6. Intellectual property
6.1 Ours
Sovarium and its licensors own all rights in the Service, including its software, agents, designs and documentation. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for the duration of your subscription.
6.2 Yours
You own your data, your monitoring configuration and your triage decisions. We claim no ownership of them.
6.3 Feedback
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation or compensation.
7. Plans, payment and currency
- Starter, Pro and Scale are self-serve monthly subscriptions paid by card through Stripe. Ultra may be paid by card or by invoice.
- Prices are the same figure in GBP, USD and EUR and are never converted at an exchange rate. Your currency is determined by your location at the time of your first subscription and is fixed for the organisation from then on; changing it afterwards is a support action.
- Fees are billed monthly in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law. All fees exclude applicable taxes.
- Plan limits — tables, seats, history retention and access to the sensitivity dial — depend only on the tier, never on the currency paid in.
- If payment fails, we follow the payment processor's retry window before access to scanning is suspended. Your dashboard and existing findings remain readable, and nothing is deleted.
7.1 Upgrades, downgrades and quota grace
You may change plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. If a downgrade leaves your organisation over the new plan's table quota, a 14-day grace period applies during which every monitored table continues to be scanned; after it, scanning is limited to the number of tables your plan allows, selected by priority tier and then by age. No monitored table is deleted as a result of a downgrade.
8. Service levels and support
- Scans: the nightly scan runs at the time configured for your organisation, defaulting to 5:00 AM in your timezone. We do not guarantee a specific completion time.
- Support: email support on every plan. Ultra additionally includes human root-cause investigation and debriefs on critical findings and a monthly executive health report.
9. Warranties and disclaimers
9.1 Ours
- The Service will perform substantially as documented
- We will provide it with reasonable skill and care
- We will maintain the security measures described in our Privacy Policy
9.2 Disclaimers
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". WE DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Sentry is a monitoring aid, not a guarantee. It may miss a genuine data-quality problem and it may raise a finding that turns out to be expected behaviour. Findings are AI-generated judgements about your data and must be verified before you act on them — which is why every finding ships with the evidence it was based on. You remain responsible for the correctness of your data and for any decision made from it.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOVARIUM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FEES PAID BY YOU IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by law, or to liability arising from breach of confidentiality, non-payment of fees, or wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses or damages arising from:
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your violation of applicable law
- The data or warehouse access you connect to the Service
- Disputes with your own users or third parties
12. Term and termination
These Terms apply for as long as you use the Service. You may cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these Terms. On termination, your data is retained and then deleted as set out in the Privacy Policy.
13. Confidentiality
Each party will protect the other's confidential information with at least the care it applies to its own. Confidential information excludes anything that is public, was known before disclosure, is independently developed, or is rightfully obtained from a third party.
14. Changes to these terms
We may modify these Terms and will give at least 30 days' notice of material changes by email or in the app. Continued use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
16. General
- Entire agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us.
- Severability: if a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- Waiver: failing to enforce a provision does not waive it.
- Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
- Force majeure: neither party is liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
